Wow, hold the front page. Apparently, Channel 4 will be showing highlights of the VGAs - the big US televised video games awards shindig spectcular type thing. They're hosted by Samuel L Jackson again this year. Expect another heap of movie stars and celebs to present individual awards and gush about just how much they lurve games. Oh and there are never any speeches from the winners. Still, 'tis quite a spectacle even if the awards themselves mean actually feck all y'limey b******d! Oh dear,…

Been playing The Saboteur a fair bit recently. Blimey that Sean can swear, feck can he. Mind you , after what happens to him in this darkly comic WWII romp who can blame him? But if we were suprised by the expletive count (thank god, we spelt that right!), we were even more taken a back at just how much like GTA it is once you scratch under the surface. When EA failed in their bid to buy Rockstar a while back, it seems that they decided to go hell bent on creating their own GTA-beater instead.…

Damn, I knew there was something I was meant to have done! Mmm, if I don't pull my finger out real quick, our poor viewers are going to be forced to watch... an in-depth preview of The Sabotuer, our massive review of James Cameron's Avatar: The Game. Crikey, they might even have to endure our exclusive look at Heavy Rain. Blimey, poor souls. I'll think I'd better book that ticket to Spain after all.

We're interviewing the guys behind Bioshock 2 very soon. If you got a question for 'em post it here and we'll totally ignore it. Either that or we'll pretend we came up with it and get all the credit! Whichever way you look at it, you lose! But don't let that stop you...

If you'd like to see the Assassin's Creed: Lineage movie in full on your very own TV, in the comfort of your living room... and you live in the UK ...and you have Sky... and you'll still be alive at 9.35pm this Thursday evening... then you're in luck!! Yes, we had a chat with our very kind friends at Ubisoft and they've generously allowed your favourite TV show to be the first to air the movie on UK TV. How cool are we? Things We've Learnt Recently No. 76 ... It seems Ubisoft are planning more movies like Assassin's Creed: Lineage. The 36-minute mini-epic, about 15th century assassin Giovanni, by special effects maestros Hybride Studios, brilliantly prepares audiences for the launch of Assassin's Creed 2 next weekend. So which game will get this treatment next? Splinter Cell? Prince of Persia? Nope, Far Cry! That was the strong hint dropped by one of Ubisoft's top development execs during our recent interview.

Multiplayer or campaign? Or maybe I'll just have a little go at Special Ops? See you in a coupla weeks! Oh and by the way, the bonus level unlocked when you complete the game is...

Having spent the day with Assassin's Creed 2, I have to admit to being a little surprised by how different it is to the original. I have a strong suspicion that the guys and gals at Ubisoft's Montreal Studios have used GTA as the model this time around, especially in terms of storytelling. I'm still thinking about some of the characters I met in Florence today, which I think is a sign that they've got it right. One tip. If you're planning to get the game, make sure you watch all the Assassin's…

And if you haven't heard about the airport massacre level, you soon will. Expect it to be front page news.
Also in the show, a meaty preview of Dark Void and hands on with Assassin's Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Avatar. Frankly, if that doesn't float your boat, you're already dead!
