After playing Resident Evil 5 through to completion i found the overall experience to be a bit dissapointing, sure, the graphics are absolutely fantastic and you now have the ability to play all the way through the adventure with a friend, but, it just seems that since Shinji Mikami decided to step down as head of the RE Franchise, the games have lost the 'essence' of what it used to be, a true survival horror.
Personally, i don't understand why Capcom still labels the game as a… Continue

No not the game but this will just be my opinian of the games in the week and on the show and this week it was the chronicles of riddick
This game looks like that one game that could fill up or make one more genre. Of course it was a stelth game like splinter cell or metal gear solid but this is first person and it is also a puzzle game so this could start more companies making stealth games abit like what happened with gears of war. After recieving trophies on the ps3 many people started replaying games they hadnt touched in ages. Now a fraction of people have moved onto COD WaW ... so i think they should bring trophies to COD 4 to give it some new life. What d'you think??

Yep, the annual gathering of the world's game development community in San Francisco used to be a pretty low key affair. But in recent years thanks to high profile press conferences packed with big consumer focussed announcements (remember this is where the world first glimpsed Little Big Planet and Gears of War 2), the event has changed. For the casual observer picking up news via the journalists attending, they could easily think now that it's a kind of E3 type affair - where next year's… Continue

Not surprisingly that announcement by OnLive at GDC has got many tongues a wagging, but the idea of a micro-console isn’t an original one.
It was 2006 that we first came across the concept. Chris Deering, who had been the boss of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe during the launch and rise of PlayStation, told us in a private interview that there probably wouldn’t be a PlayStation 4, at least not in the traditional form. Our jaws dropped. He said gaming would move on to servers and… Continue

One of the biggest events in the video game calendar, the Game Developers Conference, has just come to an end. And quite a week it was too. Not just because 25,000 video game designers, programmers and artists managed to make their way to San Francisco all by themselves. Not even because Nintendo revealed they'd sold a gob smacking 50 million Wiis. No, it was remarkable because for once the big news was nothing to do with Sony, Ninty or even Microsoft.… Continue
